
USATF Colorado Announces 2012 State Championship Calendar
USATF
Colorado is pleased to announce their 2012 schedule of state
championships. Seven events around the state of Colorado will comprise
the USATF Colorado Grand Prix. As in 2011, prize money at each race will
be exclusive to USATF Colorado members and U.S. citizens. Annual USATF
memberships can be purchased here for $30.
March 4, 2012 - USATF Colorado State 10 Mile Championships at the Pueblo Spring Runoff. $2,500 prize purse.
April 1, 2012 - USATF Colorado State 5 Mile Championships at the Boulder Spring 5 Mile. $2,500 prize purse.
August 5, 2012 - USATF Colorado State 10K Championships at the Evergreen Town Race 10K. $2,500 prize purse.
August 12, 2012
- USATF Colorado State Men's Half Marathon Championships at the Mt.
Sneffels Half Marathon. $2,000 prize purse ($1,000 for the men's
championships).
September 16, 2012 - USATF Colorado State 25K Championships at the Lead King Loop 25K. $1,300 prize purse.
October 20, 2012
- USATF Colorado State Cross Country Championships at the RMAC
Conference Meet Open Race (Colorado Springs). $1,500 prize purse.
October 21, 2012
- USATF Colorado State Open Half Marathon Championships at the Boulder
Half Marathon. $4,000 prize purse. $2,000 for women's field, and $2,000
for men's field. Cash for 1-5 places in both races, plus masters
category.

USATF-Colorado association members only. Prize money awards winners must

The Colorado Championship shall be conducted in accordance with USATF Nationals "2012 Competition Rules"
ELIGIBILITY: Rule 1 a, b and c shall apply, in addition to Rule 3.
Please pay particular attention to Article 1, Championships. Section 1,
General. Rule 1. Eligibility: a, b, and c, in addition to Rule 3.
Eligibility:
(a)
In the Open Men's and Women's Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field
Championships, the Junior Men's and Women's Track and Field
Championships, the Men's and Women's Race Walking Championships, the
Men's and Women's Open, Junior, and Masters Cross Country Championships,
and the Men's and Women's Long Distance Running Championships, only
citizens of the United States who are eligible to represent the United
States in all levels of international competition are eligible to
compete. (In the Men's and Women's Race Walking Championships, Men's
Long Distance Running Championships, and Masters Cross Country
Championships, others may compete in a separate non-scoring division or
race.)
(b) The Masters Track and Field Championships are open to all member athletes of USATF or of other IAAF member federations.
(c) The Masters Long Distance Running Championships are open to all member athletes of USATF, including Permanent Residents. However, only U.S. citizens shall be awarded individual championship awards or score for a team.
RULE 3 - ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIPS
1. All members of an Association shall be permitted to compete in that Association’s Championships.
2.
An athlete who has competed in the Championships of one Association
shall not be eligible to compete in the same Championships of any other
Association during the same year except as a non-scoring guest at the
discretion of the Association meet director or the appropriate
Association sports committee.
3. Athletes who are not members of a
particular Association may compete as invited guests on a non-scoring
basis at the discretion of the meet director or the appropriate
Association sports committee.
NOTE:

eligibility for Association Championships.Proof of Colorado Driver
License IS REQUIRED to validate state residency. Proof of current USATF
